Regular dental check-ups are foundational to a lifetime of dental health. The main goals of these appointments are to check for cavities, to assess the health of your gums, and to clean your teeth. Our favorite part, however, is getting to help educate and encourage our patients to continue their care at home. When you see us for a check-up, expect to be walked through your x-rays, shown photos of your teeth and gums, and get schooled on which products can help support your dental health care needs. Some typical services in our check-ups include:

  • X-Rays: We use x-rays to gather information about what’s happening below the tooth’s surfaces, to evaluate what’s happening between the teeth, to assess the health of existing fillings, and to rule out abnormalities in the jaw bone. As a bonus, our x-rays are all digital, so sending them to you or a specialist is a snap.
  • Cleanings: We specialize in modern cleanings using ultrasonic cleaning technologies. This is a more gentle and effective way to remove calculus and stains compared to traditional dental picks.
  • Night Guards: We offer night guards to help protect teeth from damage caused by grinding or clenching—which, for many, occurs at night. And if you already have a night guard, we’re happy to clean it for you if you bring it to your check-up.

We understand that dental emergencies can be terrifying. And when they happen, we’re here to help—whether by getting you scheduled for immediate care in our practice, or by coordinating with our trusted specialists. Simply put: If you’ve got a dental issue, we can help get you the solution. Emergency issues we often see include:

  • Chipped Teeth
  • Loose Crowns
  • Toothaches
  • Missing Fillings
  • Root Canals
  • Broken Retainers
  • Bleeding or Swollen Gums

We use the phrase “Cosmetic Dentistry” to generally describe services that improve the appearance of teeth. These services primarily focus on changing the color, position, size, and shape of teeth, and the overall appearance of your smile. Some of our most common cosmetic procedures include:

  • Veneers: We use veneers to permanently change the shape and color of your teeth. Our practice specializes in natural-looking veneers which transform your smile in a matter of weeks.
  • Professional Whitening: We provide dentist-guided whitening right here in the Studio Dental office. With this hands-on approach, our dentists can use more concentrated whitening agents compared to over-the-counter products. That means whiter teeth in less time. Additionally, we offer options for custom whitening trays you can use at home. For most patients, the combination of a professional in-office treatment followed up with touch-up whitening sessions at home creates the whitest, brightest smiles.
  • Cosmetic Bonding: We use a tooth-colored filling material to quickly alter the appearance of your teeth. This is the most conservative way to repair small chips or cracks on, for example, your front teeth.
  • White Spot Treatment: We offer a simple and conservative treatment, called enamel microabrasion, for removing those pesky white spots that can show up on your front teeth.

Fillings and crowns are, quite simply, used to restore the form and function of broken or otherwise compromised teeth. These services include:

  • Dental Fillings: We use dental fillings as the ideal treatment for smaller issues affecting teeth, such as small-to-moderate-sized cavities. In our practice, we only use modern, tooth-colored fillings—not the silver, metal fillings you might have seen in the past.
  • Crowns and Onlays: We choose to use crowns and onlays (a.k.a. partial crowns) to fix teeth when they’re more seriously compromised or broken down. Crowns and onlays are more expensive than fillings, but provide more strength to your tooth and, on average, last longer.

Implants are a modern solution for replacing missing teeth, and can be used to replace a single tooth, several teeth, or all of the teeth. They are predictable and natural-looking, and, when properly cared-for, can last your your entire life. Implants are, hands-down, one of the most rewarding treatments we perform at Studio Dental. Our implant services include:

  • Dental Implants: We use implants to, simply, replace missing teeth. Implants are composed of two parts: a titanium component, which replaces the tooth root in the jaw bone, and a tooth-colored crown, which is screwed into the titanium component.
  • Coordination with Specialists: We’ve handpicked a group of specialists, including gum specialists and oral surgeons, to help coordinate more complex dental implant cases.

If you’re looking to straighten your teeth as an adult, there is no treatment more proven than Invisalign. Using a series of clear aligners, Invisalign predictably straightens teeth resulting in functional and beautiful smiles. These services include:

  • Invisalign: We use Invisalign, which is still considered the gold-standard when it comes to clear aligner treatment, to help straighten teeth. While there are newer products available, there are none as vetted or predictable as Invisalgin—which is why we’re still big fans.
  • Retainers: We use retainers to help keep your teeth in place. Our practice specializes in clear-tray retainers, as well as bonded-wire retainers.

Fun fact: Three of Studio Dental’s dentists recently had babies within a few months of one another. It’s no exaggeration, then, to say we love seeing children. We’re able to provide care for your entire family all under one roof, and we offer specialized services for children under the age of 17. For more complex issues, we work closely with a handpicked group of pediatric specialists who we’ll help you coordinate with. Our family services include:

  • Kids’ Cleanings: We provide cleanings for kids, just like we do for adults. Our kids’ cleanings include x-rays to check on tooth development, and extra encouragement for keeping up good brushing and flossing habits at home.
  • Fluoride Treatments: We use Fluoride applications to deliver extra strength to your child’s developing teeth.
  • Sealants: We use sealants as a non-invasive approach to protect against cavities as your child’s adult teeth begin to erupt.
  • Referrals to Specialists: We’ve handpicked a group of specialists, including pediatric dentists and orthodontists, to help coordinate more complex care for your child.

For most people, the experience of going to the dentist is, at best, neutral, and, at worst, traumatic. We fully recognize that receiving dental care can be incredibly stressful, and we take great pride in being able to accommodate even the most nervous patients. Our anti-anxiety options include:

  • Longer Appointments: We can offer extra support by extending the length of appointments to build in breaks for rest.
  • Anti-Anxiety Medications: We provide the option to take low doses of valium prior to dental appointments as a way to lessen the anxiety some patients experience during procedures. This is a modern alternative to the nitrous gas that was used in the past.
